Who do our politicians REALLY look out for? PDF Print E-mail

Today’s Progressives often appear to ignore reality and ask the rest of us to blindly trust in the good intentions of our (progressive) leadership. The problem most of the rest of us see, is that reality has taught us to doubt both the intentions of the politicians and the outcomes of policies they implement.

Two recent events have again brought into doubt both the policies and the intentions of our elitists in Congress:

First, the fact that the ‘wonderful’ nationalized healthcare plans that are being forced down our throats do not apply to Federal Government Employees—which includes all three branches of government. The obvious question is: “If it is so wonderful, why do they exempt themselves?”

Second, since 1991--when they changed the law in the dead of night--Congress automatically gets pay raise unless they specifically vote against it. (Nice, huh?) So while Social Security recipients; the active military, reserves and retirees; and federal government employees and retirees get no pay raise for the next two years, Congress gets $4700 (House) $5300 (Senate) pay raises.

So you tell me, who exactly are they looking out for?
